I believe this is true for all companies, but especially true for remote companies: Company culture cannot be mandated. It cannot be an intention. Company culture can only be practiced and celebrated.
- Decide what your values will be. Write them down.
- Lead by action.
- Celebrate and commend when others join in the practice of your company culture.
Everything else is lip service.
